"But all this was done that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled" (Matt. 26:56).

Such a succession of prophecies, from various people and at various times up to 1,500 years before Christ, were fulfilled in one person on one day. Does that not give every decent and honest person the undeniable fact that the Scriptures are the inspired word of God, and that Jesus of Nazareth is in reality the Christ, the Son of God? "But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name" (John 20:31)
